As you know that pearls are sensitive to elements so it is better to use them occasionally. Use of pearls all the time is not advisable by the experts. Always put your jewellery box or jewellery bag after using jewellery. Don’t wear off in bathroom and the place having moisture. There are also some chemicals in lotions, perfumes and hairsprays that can damage pearls. It is the best option to wear off your jewellery after using it as there are many factors which can shorten the life of your jewellery. By wearing off you jewellery there will be lesser chances to the exposure to the chemicals in lotion and perfumes.

Just like the other kinds of jewellery, over the time pearl jewellery also gets dirty. There are many options to clean your jewellery. Cleaning of jewellery from the expert jeweler will always be a best option. You can also clean it on your own by the use of a soft and clean cloth. Don’t use any detergent or soap as well as any scrubbing material like sponge or toothbrush.
